Meet Our Team

Dr. Michael Hopkins

Dentist

Dr. Michael Hopkins grew up locally in the South Bay, where he graduated from Palos Verdes High School. He attended Stanford University where in 1980 he earned his AB Degree in Human Biology with Distinction. He went on to earn his DDS (Doctor of Dental Surgery) from UCLA in 1984. Dr Hopkins served as a General Practice Resident in Hospital Dentistry at UCLA Medical Center from 1984 to 1985 and later as a clinical instructor at the UCLA Department of Hospital Dentistry. Dr. Hopkins is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and the Western Los Angeles Dental Society. Dr Hopkins has been practicing General Cosmetic and Implant Dentistry in the South Bay for 40 years and at his current practice since 1990. Committed to providing the best care possible to his patients, Dr. Hopkins completes over forty hours of continuing education per year. He attended several courses emphasizing Invisalign, Cerec Crowns, Implants, and Aesthetic Dentistry giving him the status of a Level 4 Cerec Provider and a Premier Invisalign Provider. Because he believes in expanding his knowledge of the most up to date technology and techniques, he continues his education for himself and his entire staff by regularly attending courses and seminars. His passion for creating healthy, aesthetic, and functional smiles is very apparent through his patient outcomes and satisfaction. A resident of Manhattan Beach, he is married with five children ages 14-29. He is a lifelong avid surfer and snow skier and also enjoys stand up paddle boarding, golfing, and restoring his classic VW Bus.

Dr. Robert Quan

Dentist

Dr Robert Quan was born and raised in the Central Valley in Fresno, CA. He attended the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA earning his degree in Biology. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco, CA. Following graduation from Dental school, Dr Quan completed his residency at the Community Regional Medical Center and Veterans Affairs Hospital in Fresno where he continued to refine his dental abilities. After working in private practices in Fresno and Rochester, MN, Dr Quan is happy to call Southern California his new home while his wife completes her residency at UCLA in OB/GYN. Dr. Quan loves that dentistry is a blend of function, technical skill, and artistic acuity. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, working out and playing volleyball.

Alicia

Dental Hygenist

Alicia has been a part of our dental team as a Dental Hygienist since 2010. She was born and raised in California and worked as a Dental Assistant for 7 years prior to attending the Dental Hygiene program at Cerritos College. She graduated with honors in 2001 as a Registered Dental Hygienist from Cerritos College. Alicia became Laser Certified in 2007 through the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Laser Dentistry is one of her passions and she continues to educate herself with courses and seminars involving Laser Periodontal Therapy. Alicia has been married to her high school sweetheart for over 20 years. She has 3 children and is kept busy with all of their activities of baseball, basketball, and swimming. Alicia enjoys spinning, jogging and watching all of her kids sporting events.

Christina

Dental Hygienist

Christina joined our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in December 2016. Christina was born and raised in Orange County California. Christina attended West Coast University for her Bachelor's in Science in Dental Hygiene and graduated in 2016. She has a very gentle touch and works well with all of her patients. Christina became Laser Certified through the ALD (Academy of Laser Dentistry) in December 2017 and continues to expand her knowledge and clinical skills in Laser Periodontal Therapy and Periodontal Instrumentation through courses and continuing education. When not in the office she enjoys snowboarding in the winter and paddle boarding in the summer.

Linda

Administrator

Linda has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 25 years after graduating from SCROC (Southern California Regional Occupational Center) in 1991. Linda has worked with Dr Hopkins for almost 20 years and has been instrumental in working as an office administrator since 2012. She is an asset to be able to work both front office and chair-side. Linda enjoys all the advancements in technology and keeps up to date with education for both office administration and dental assisting. Linda was born and raised in the South Bay area and has been happily married to her husband, John, for over 16 years. She has three beautiful children, Kellie age 19, Lauren age 15, and Reagan age 12. She spends her free time on sidelines of soccer fields, softball fields, or volleyball courts cheering on her girls. She also enjoys baking, barbecuing with friends and family and taking long walks on the beach.

Michelle

Administrator

Michelle has been a Registered Dental Assistant for over 25 years after graduating from SCROC (Southern Regional Occupational Center) in 1991. Michelle has worked with Dr Hopkins as a Registered Dental Assistant since 1997 and as an Office Administrator since 2007. She is extremely skilled at both chairside and front office and we are fortunate to have her experience on our team. Her relationships with long term patients and building relationships with our new patients is what Michelle likes best about working in our office.Michelle was born and raised in the South Bay. She has two beautiful grown children Brittany and Adam. She is also a proud grandmother to her grandson Isley Dean. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family and friends barbequing, camping, and cheering on her favorite Superbowl Champions, Denver Broncos.

Raquel

Hygiene Coordinator

Raquel has been part of our team since 2017 as our Hygiene Coordinator. She graduated from Everest College in 2008 as a Dental Assistant. She has worked in all areas of Dentistry in the back office as an assistant but found her love for the front office here where is very happy to assist you with all your insurance questions and scheduling of appointments. Raquel was born and raised in the South Bay where she still resides with her husband, 2 children. She enjoys organizing, and spending time with her family.

Sabrina

Dental Hygienist

Sabrina joined our dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist in 2017. Sabrina was born and raised in rural, Northern California in a small town called, Winters. Her passion for Dental Hygiene started at the young age of 8 after discovering the kindness someone can have when taking care of people's healthy smiles. Sabrina went on to study Dental Hygiene at the University of the Pacific where she graduated in 2009 with a bachelors Degree in Science from Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry. Shortly after graduation, she moved to Southern California to follow her dreams of providing the best thorough and gentle care a hygienist could provide. Sabrina brings experience, passion, high energy and a warm and gentle personality to our office. She continues to increase in her knowledge in Periodontal Laser treatment and hygiene instrumentation. When not in the office she enjoys cooking new recipes with her spouse, watching the beautiful Southern California sunsets and sending time with her dog Rocky.

X-rays and Imaging

We are do our best to make you comfortable, like turn on your ceiling TV to your favorite channel, while we take photos and x-rays of your current condition.

Exam

Both our hygienist and dentist will conduct a thorough exam of your x-rays and current dental condition, including a cancer and gum disease screening.

30 min

Cleaning

Dental Plan

Dr. Quan or Dr. Hopkins will review their findings of the exam. If any long term dental is needed he will present the options you have and relative timelines and priorities. Answering any questions you may have so you are empowered to take control of your own long-term dental health.
